Have you ever had that feeling of wonder & mystery at the same time?

When you know you found something unique & special that there's no doubt very few people know about it.

Something you don't understand how or when it happened but you just can't get it out of your head. That you thought it was a dream but then... 

it disappeared.

This introduction may sound exaggerated or far off but, at least for me, that's how it was.

A slow journey throughout the years of something half remembered and then re-discovering it and share it with you.

It happened between 2001 & 2003, with a strange but yet fascinating web called: Code Cero Nine (CCN) or Código Cero Nueve - it's original name -, that eventually will lead to...

BRIEF HISTORY 

Back when JP/// (2001) crushed the hearts a lot of fans, it was very hard to get JP concept art or fan art that were similar to the JP designs; and the few pages that were at reach weren't in good quality.

Deviant Art didn't existed. Altavista, Yahoo and Google were at war for The Web and the top results weren't very good.

So try to imagine a time where the interface of the pages where very simple yet served their purpose. The only social networks available were MSN or ICQ and in many cases: HOTMAIL or YAHOO MAIL.

The entertainment industry shared few to none information about an upcoming movie (or sequel). In this case JP4. 

So when I found CCN I finally found a worthy portal for JP fans and fan art of the saga!

One day I saw a link for what I thought it was a marketing campaign for the 4th film!

It lead to a page with a very obscure and bleak tone called: Proyect Embryo (Proyecto Embryo) with a awesome logo!

The Page promised a upcoming book, concept art as well as wallpapers.

So with the limited information that I had, I didn't doubt it for a second. The 4th film was coming!

During the 1st Jurassic June (2014) I shared a few concept art of this book on my Twitter account. 

Even Shannon John Shea (Key artis: Stan Winston Studio; Jurassic Park) showed interest on this!!   Twitter account.

He wanted to know more about it!!! But I couldn't help because I didn't remember where did I put it or if I have it at all.

I don't even remember how I stumble upon this, but it was like magic!

At the time I thought it was official (kind of the same thing with the mysterious marketing campaing for jurassicworld.org 2015-2016, May of this year; that many thought it was the title for the next movie).

But it turned out to be a fan fiction from a guy that I think he's from Spain. I never try to contact the guy.

Before the page was shut down I manage to get some concept art (not all of it) and other stuff that the page offerd.

Forums where at it's peak so fan fiction was common. But the amount of dedication on this work was staggering! So you can see why I thought it was the real deal.

What are the odds, right?

Who knew the next director would it be from Spain and this... wierd yet amazing idea of a fan fiction connects this 2 events in a strange way.

At first I manage to get 2 versions of the book (both incomplete) yet on the html the book was finished. But by some miracle I found the complete version stored buried deep in one of my back up cd's. 

But not even in the final product was the name of the author.

For almost 13 years the author remain unknown. Until now.

I recently made contact with the guys at Jurassic June and Jurassic Outpost (formerly jurassicworld.org) on Twitter and the idea was to do a collaboration during June so if anyone out there may identify something and reveal the author's identity.

Obviously that won't be necessary. 

While I was writing this post I accidentally found his name!

Thanks to my curiosity I navigate trough the hmtl and with a very fine font there it was..

A man by the name:

Lucas Manuel Jaymez

Nothing - except of what is in here - is on the web today.

Even with this successful finding I still have questions for him. And by sharing this with you, perhaps he will resurface and answer some mysteries.

I hope you enjoy this true story. Don't be a stranger and take a look of what Proyect Embryo was all about.

Algo que no entiendes cómo o dónde pasó peor no puedes sacarlo de tu cabeza. Que pensabas que era un sueño. Y entonces…

Esta introducción puede sonar exagerada o demasiado pero, al menos para mi, así fue como fue.

BREVE HISTORIA

Cuando JP /// (2001) aplastó el corazón de muchos fans, ere muy difícil conseguir arte conceptual original de JP o arte de fan que fuera similar a los diseños de JP; y las pocas paginas que estaban al alcance no tenían buena calidad.

Deviant Art no existía, ALTAVISTA, YAHOO y GOOGLE estaban en guerra por La Web y en el top de resultados no venía nada bueno.

Así que trata de imaginar un tiempo donde la interface de las páginas era muy simple pero servía su propósito. Las únicas redes sociales disponibles eran MSN o ICQ y en muchos casos: HOTMAIL o YAHOO MAIL

La industria del entretenimiento compartía poco a nada de información sobre sus próximas películas (o secuelas). En este caso JP4

Así que cuando encontré CCN ¡finalmente encontré un portal digno para los fans de JP y para el arte de los fans de la saga!

Un día vi un link de lo que pensé era una campaña de márquetin para ¡la 4ª película!

Llevaba a un a pagina con un tono oscuro y tenebroso llamado: Proyecto Embryo. ¡Con un asombroso logo!

La pagina prometía un libro, arte conceptual y fondos de pantalla.

Así con la información limitada que tenía, no dudé por un segundo. ¡La 4ª película venía en camino!

Durante el 1er Jurassic June (2014) compartí pocos artes conceptuales de este libro en mi cuenta de Twitter.

Incluso Shannon John Shea (Artista Clave en: Stan Winston Studio; Jurassic Park) ¡¡mostró interés en esto!!  Su cuenta de Twitter.

¡¡¡Quería saber más sobre esto!!! Pero no podía ayudarlo porque no sabía dónde puse ellibro o si lo tenía.

No recuerdo como fue que me tope con esto, ¡pero fue como magia!

En su momento pensé que era oficial (lo mismo que pasó con la  misteriosa campaña de marketing  para la nueva pagina del antes jurassicworld.org 2015-2016, Mayo de este año; que muchos pensaron era para el título de la siguiente película).

Pero resultó que era un fan ficción de un tipo que aún pienso es de España. Nunca intenté comunicarme con el sujeto.

Antes de que la página cerrara, logré guardar arte conceptual (no todo) y otras cosas que la pagina ofrecia.

Los Forums estaban en la cima así que era común encontrarse con fan ficción. Peor la cantidad de dedicación y trabajo en este ¡era impresionante! Ahora ves porque pensé que era de verdad.

¿Cuáles son las probabilidades, no?

¿Quién iba a saber que el siguiente director sería de España, y este… extraña pero asombrosa idea de un fan ficción conecta 2 eventos en una rara manera.

Al principio logré tener 2 versiones del libro (ambas incompletas) sin embargo en el html el libro estaba terminado. Pero por un milagro logré encontrar la versión completa enterrada muy al fondo de un de mis cd’s de respaldo.

Pero ni siquiera con el producto final venía el nombre del autor.

Por casi 13 años el autor permaneció desconocido. Hasta ahora.

Recientemente hice contacto con los colegas de Jurassic June y Jurassic Outpost (antes llamado jurassicworld.org) en Tiwtter y la idea era hacer una colaboración durante Junio para saber si alguien sabía identificar algo y revelar la identidad del autor.

Obviamente eso no será necesario.

Mientras escribía este post, ¡accidentalmente encontré su nomre!

Incluso con este exitoso descubrimiento aún tengo preguntas para él. Y al compartir esto contigo, tal vez resurga y responda a algunos misterios.

But it had curious things about the JP world, things that - until that time - I've never seen in my life.

Such as outstanding original fan art and original wallpapers from the saga in good quality, slightly modified.

This was the main image to enter the page.
