Wallpaper #1: The Legacy / El Legado

Since I saw the official #JurassicWorld poster I, immediately, made this collage of all 4 logos.

Desde que vi el poster oficial de jurassic World, inmediatamente hice este collage de los 4 logos.

Wallpaper #2: Their World / Su Mundo

Soon after the 1st one I had to do a second one; but this time I got the inspiration on Disney's true icon & mascot: Mickey Mouse. But I wanted to do a version where the Rex doesn't feel like a mascot, rather an icon of the saga.

If I made my work right this picture will feel as of nature ruled over the ambition of man.

I finished this one while I was on a flight to my hometown in Mexico.

It took me more than I expected, but it was worth it.

At some point, on Facebook, a fan page: Jurassic World Italia, gave me the honors to put this one to his profile picture. It was awesome!! :)

Después de hacer el 1o tenía que hacer un segundo; pero esta vez la inspiración me vio de la mascota e ícono de Disney: Mickey Mouse. Pero quería hacer una versión en donde el Rex no se sintiera como mascota, más bien como el ícono de la saga.

Si eh hecho mi trabajo bien esta imagen se sentirá como si la naturaleza gobernara sobre la ambición del hombre.

Este lo terminé mientras volaba hacia México.

Me tomó más de lo que esperaba, pero valió la pena.

En un punto, en Facebook, una fan page: Jurassic World Italia, me hizo el honor de ponerla de profile picture. ¡Fue increible! :)

Wallpaper #3: Bones / Huesos

I wasn't going to make a render of this just plain white, but after some thought I did it.

No iba a hacer un render de este de puro blanco, pero después de pensarlo lo hice.

Wallpaper #4: Carnage / Carnicería

It was almost instantly when I had the idea of making a bloody version of the logo; it took me a while to do it since the original logo is kind-of-blue and I wanted to do a bone-ish look so it would feel real; like the flesh was rip out of the bones (typography), but also make the feeling that the skeleton was the one that made the kill and give room to the posibility that a real dinosaur made a kill and the blood splashed in the logo.

To put the blood exactly as I wanted (like in the "D" that looks like a bloody hand was trying to grab to the letter but fail) was, indeed a challenge because it need it to feel real, like when the blood dries and looks orange/brown-ish. So I try to make the blood as real as possible.

I tried to leave the logo with a brown look of the smoke (like the one from my Instagram acount - see below -) but it didn't look cool enough. Actually was wierd.

I like this one so much that I made it a T-Shirt!

Fue casi de inmediato cuando tuve la idea de hacer una versión sangrienta del logo; me tomó bastante hacerlo pues el logo original es azulado y quería hacer que se viera como si fuera hecha de hueso y se sintiera como si la carne había sido arrancada de los huesos (tipografía), pero también hacer que pareciera como si el esqueleto fuera quien mató a alguien y dejando lugar a la posibilidad de que un dinosaurio real acabara de matar y la sangre salpicara el logo.

Para poner la sangre como quería (como ejemplo: en la "D" parece como si una mano ensangrentada hubiese tratado de agarrarse a la letra pero falló en el intento) fue, de verdad, un reto porque necesitaba que se sintiera real, como cuando la sangre se seca y queda como anaranjado/cafesoso. Traté de hacer que la sangre fuera lo más real posible.

Trate de dejar el humo del logo con una apariencia cafesosa (como el de mi cuenta de Instagram - ver abajo -) pero no se veía tan padre. De hecho se veía raro.

Esta me gustó tanto que ¡hice una playera!

This one was my first choice but after a while I realised that, in some parts, the blood looked fake (so was its trayectory) and it was too much, and the blue-ish of the logo didn't make the impact of realism I wanted, so I tried harder.

Este fue mi primera opción pero después de un tiempo me di cuenta que, en algunas partes, la sangre se veía falsa (así como su trayectoria) y era demasiada, y lo azulado del logo no lograba el impacto de realismo que quería, así que me esforcé más.

After I finish this one, I upload it to my Instagram account and edit it a little in there, and I like it very much that almost made the cut 'cause the quantity of blood was right and it looked convincing, also the color of the smoke looked cool but the quality was lo-res. This trigger the idea to do it that way but in hi-res.

That's the genesis of the Carnage wallpaper.

Después de terminar este, lo subí a mi cuenta de Instagram y ahí lo edité un poco, me gustó bastante que casi la la dejaba así porque la cantidad de sangre era la necesaria y se veía convincente, también el humo se veía bien pero era de baja resolución. Esto me activó la idea de hacerlo de esa forma pero en alta resolución.

Así quedó el wallpaper Carnicería.
